Spice/K2 Addiction

Synthetic cannabinoids, also known as synthetic cannabis, are a new psychoactive substance (NPS) that was created to mimic the effects of actual cannabis, which go under a variety of names, some of which are Spice/K2. After prolonged use, it is common for users to develop a Spice/K2 addiction. However, synthetic cannabinoids do not produce the same effects as THC, the active ingredient in cannabis, and instead, cause a range of negative effects.  

Therefore, the terms “synthetic cannabis” or “synthetic marijuana” are not accurate. The correct term for these substances is “synthetic cannabinoid receptor agonists” but for simplicity, we will refer to them as Spice/K2.

Consuming Spice/K2 can lead to severe side effects, including anxiety, kidney damage, hallucinations, paranoia, loss of muscle control, high blood pressure, rapid heartbeat, cravings, euphoria, and seizures.
